The practice allows you to slow down, relax, and turn inward, which helps relieve stress and restore your energy levels. Yin yoga also improves flexibility, boosts circulation, and reduces tension.
Because in yin yoga we hold postures for a longer period of time than we would in other traditional types of yoga, it helps stretch and elongate those rarely used tissues, while teaching us how to breathe consciously despite discomfort and to sit with the thoughts that arise.
Each class starts with breathwork, followed by asanas and it ends with a short relaxation or guided meditation. Everyone is welcomed to join, no matter the level of practice.
